The browser opens the JPG
Existing compression marks and color transitions are already part of its visible pixels.
Make a genuine PNG from a JPG, one file or several. See the result size and download each copy. The picture itself stays familiar; the format changes.
Up to 20 JPGs at once, 10 MB per file. The conversion happens in your browser.

Leave dimensions unchanged, or reduce both sides proportionally when the destination has a size limit.
Check the new file size and download it. The original JPG is never overwritten.
Choosing a format is a practical decision. It depends on what the next application accepts and whether you need transparency, small size, or a working copy for further edits.
Imagine a 900 × 600 JPG with blurred lettering. The converted PNG still has 900 × 600 pixels and the same blurred lettering. PNG prevents an additional JPG save from introducing another layer of loss; it cannot reconstruct the original camera information.
PNG compresses the pixels without throwing more detail away. Photographs with many colors often take more space than a JPG of the same dimensions. Read the source-to-result comparison in the queue before assuming a conversion improved delivery speed.
A PNG file can contain transparent areas, but an opaque JPG does not suddenly gain them during conversion. To isolate a subject, use Remove Background, inspect the edges, and save that result as PNG.
These situations call for different checks, even though the output format is the same.
Export PNG and check the form's maximum dimensions and file size. A correct format can still exceed its limit.
Keep the original JPG too. Pass along the PNG when the next editor needs repeated saves without additional JPG compression.
Format conversion alone is the wrong step. Remove the background first and check fine edges before downloading a transparent PNG.
Conversion runs locally in your browser. This page does not send the JPG to a server or API. Canvas export generally does not preserve camera EXIF records, so keep the original if that data matters.
Sources may be up to 10 MB and 40 megapixels. A result is capped at 24 megapixels to reduce browser memory failures. The temporary download links disappear when you close the tab. Convert a test file first if a receiving platform has strict rules.
