The background must disappear
You need a transparent cutout, not a different extension. Background removal separates the subject; PNG or WebP can preserve the transparency afterward.
Open Background Remover →Tell the task apart before editing: remove a background, change the frame, meet a pixel limit, reduce download weight, or create a required format. This page sends you to the right tool and explains what it will—and will not—change.
Choose the sentence closest to the problem you can see. If two conditions apply, follow the order shown: composition first, dimensions second, format and compression last.

Open Background Remover →Choose a plain color, white catalog canvas, replacement scene, or controlled blur according to the destination.
Compare background options →Resize when the composition should remain intact but the pixel width or height exceeds a platform limit.
Open Resize Image →Crop when unwanted edges, the aspect ratio, or the subject position is the real problem. Cropping removes part of the scene.
Open Crop Image →Create a PNG copy only when the destination requires it or when your workflow needs lossless raster storage. Conversion cannot restore lost JPEG detail.
Open JPG to PNG →Resize oversized pixels first, then test WebP quality. A new extension alone does not guarantee a light file.
Open Image to WebP →A “large image” may mean too many pixels or too many bytes. A “wrong background” may mean transparency, color, blur, or a completely new scene. Use this table before opening an editor.
| WHAT YOU NOTICE | WHAT MUST CHANGE | RIGHT START | WHAT STAYS UNCHANGED |
|---|---|---|---|
| Upload says dimensions are too large | Pixel width or height | Resize | The full composition |
| Important subject is too small in the frame | Visible composition | Crop | Remaining pixel detail |
| Product needs a transparent edge | Background pixels | Remove background | The subject |
| Marketplace requests a white canvas | Background presentation | Add white background | Product appearance |
| Photo downloads slowly | Dimensions, encoding, or both | Resize, then WebP | Acceptable visible quality |
| Form accepts PNG only | Container format | Convert to PNG | Existing source detail |
Repeated exporting can waste time and damage quality. Keep the original untouched and create one delivery copy at the end.
Work from a duplicate. Removed pixels and aggressive compression cannot be recovered from the smaller output.
Remove or replace the background and crop the frame before setting final delivery dimensions.
Resize close to the largest real display or upload requirement. Avoid sending unused pixels.
Choose the required format, compare file weight, and inspect text, hair, edges, gradients, and transparency.
Crop, resize, and format conversion are designed to run in the browser. Automated background removal may use remote processing. Identity documents, passwords, private keys, payment details, confidential case files, and intimate images need a controlled workflow—not a public convenience tool.
